Birthday aftermath / Day 3

I couldn't ask for a simpler birthday. I had class during the day, but after class, Nicole picked Ivy and I up from Curtin for lunch (brunch for me) at Toast House then we headed to PermyMall to occupy time because Ivy and I had another class in the late afternoon/evening. In retrospect, it was just another normal day.

Nicole's present for me, LOL.

Me with Nicole's Hello Kitty.

In the evening, I went out for dinner at Gloria Hotel with the family. My brother and his fiancée got me a simple cake as well.

Cheesecake coated with white chocolate and icing.

Birthday presents!

Shirts, bags and Naraya money purses from my brother and his fiancée who just came back from Thailand, Cottage Fries from Nicole as she knows my love for Cottage Fries, Gucci Guilty perfume from Joan and M&M and last but not least, 200g of Famous Amos' cookies from well, myself, lol. Oh and Ivy treated me lunch at Toast House so I'll take that as my birthday present as well. Teehee.

In all honesty, I feel extremely blessed and jubilant for such a wonderful birthday. I've learned to be thankful for the little acts of kindness and tiny gestures of people. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes in person or virtually, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my family and friends' thoughtful gifts and genorosity. Oh, I almost forgot - I also want to thank God for the best gift one can receive: life.

Day 3 - Your Parents

My parents are the two people I owe my life and all that I am to. My hero and heroine, my strength and support. I love the both of them with every fibre in my being and every breath I take.

Gray hair and wrinkles are imminent signs of them growing older and it tears me up inside knowing that the inevitable would happen someday. I can't begin to imagine the day they will no longer be by my side...and I refuse to.

I am still a child and I am learning to appreciate everything my parents have sacrificed and done for me.

If you're seeking for unconditional love? Seek the people nearest to you because unconditional love, in my opinion, is the bond between a parent and a child. There will be no one who loves you more than your parents do. They may not say nor show it, but if the day ever comes where they have to give up their life in order for yours, they would, without thinking a second more.
